Ingredients:

1 cup milk (whole, skim, or any plant-based milk)

2 tablespoons loose black tea or 2 black tea bags

2-3 tablespoons sugar or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

4-5 green cardamom pods

4-5 whole cloves

1-2 slices of fresh ginger

Instructions:

In a small saucepan, combine the water with the cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, ginger slices, and black peppercorns. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce the heat and let the spices simmer for about 5 minutes to release their flavours fully.

Add the loose black tea or tea bags to the spiced water and let it steep for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the milk and bring the mixture back to a boil.
